The feral cat package is not for friendly/tame cats or companion pet cats. If a cat is deemed to be friendly, the fee will be adjusted accordingly. ALL FERAL CATS MUST ARRIVE IN A HUMANE TRAP COVERED WITH A SHEET OR TOWEL. POA SPAY! has humane traps for loan ($25 refundable deposit required).

A $25 deposit* will be required to book appointments for friendly cats and kittens. This deposit will be applied to the total due on the day of your appointment, it will be refunded with 48 hours advanced notice of cancellation. Clients booking appointments online will be asked to enter their credit/debit information online to complete the online booking process.
*Cat owners with Department of Agriculture Animal Population Control Program vouchers will be refunded the $15 of their deposit when they pick up their cats after surgery. Also, if we cannot perform the surgery due to medical reasons, we will refund your deposit.
If patients do show up for their appointment and owners have not reached out to us at least 48 hours in advance, the deposit will be forfeited and used as a donation to help other animals in need.
Your cat must be 3 lbs/12 weeks of age to be spayed/neutered. Your cat will receive a brief physical exam prior to surgery. Our veterinarian reserves the right to refuse services if your pet shows signs of illness or injury. There is no extra charge for pregnant or in heat cats. All pets receiving services at our clinic must be accompanied by a current rabies certificate at the time of surgery admission or a rabies vaccination will be given, at no extra charge. A rabies tag and hospital invoices are not acceptable proof of rabies vaccination. Appointments are required and payment is due at the time of admission. We accept cash, credit card and debit cards. ALL TAME CATS MUST BE IN A HARD-SIDED, SECURE CAT CARRIER. PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL LATCHES AND PARTS OF THE CARRIER ARE IN PLACE AND CANNOT BREAK OPEN TO ENSURE YOUR CAT'S SAFETY. CATS NOT IN A HARD CARRIER WILL BE DECLINED. PLEASE CALL US IF YOU NEED TO BORROW A CARRIER.

Low Income Voucher Program- The state of Connecticut's Animal Population Control Program is currently accepting new applications for their low-income pet sterilization program. SPAY Connecticut Subsidy Program - The SPAY Connecticut Program discounts the cost of cat spay/neuter packages to $50 for qualifying cat owners with financial need. Please call to see if you meet the qualifications.
